Taking off from the Funicolar Station in Brunate there are some nice walks.
In a feu minutes, you arrive at the Pissarottino Fountain with a panoramic sight of the lake and Monte Rosa.
From Brunate you can also go by foot down to Como,
There are 2 paths:
One following along the funicular, the other, passes throught the woods passing by the Eremo S. Donato, an ex Convent of the XV century.
Another walk of about 3 hours in from Brunate to Montepiatto and then down to Torno, from where you can come back to Como by boat.
You can also go up to the lighthouse of San Maurizio and to the CAO, by foot or by bus.
